Description:The Grable Foundation awards grants to:
Improve early childhood development programs so that more children enter school ready to succeed.
Augment school systems so that students have more opportunities to achieve.
Boost out-of-school efforts that support growth in children's lives.
Contribute to the creativity and wonder that all children should experience.

Recent grants include early childhood centers, literacy initiatives, school readiness programs, leadership training for school principals, technology training, using data to make instructional decisions, STEM for middle school and high school, twenty-first century skills, and arts education. Giving is limited to organizations in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Organizations interested in a foundation grant may either complete the Grable Inquiry Sheet, available on the website, or send a Letter of Inquiry. Inquiries may be sent electronically or as a hard copy via US mail. Please be sure to call the foundation to confirm receipt of the email. The foundation will invite a submission of a full proposal.

Award(s):Awards range from $4,500 to $150,000.
Deadline(s):Letters of Inquiry are due by January 1, May 1, and September 1, annually
