Description:Flour believes education, particularly the disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), is a foundational component of success in the twenty-first century. Therefore, Fluor supports higher education and university STEM programs, as well as those benefitting students in kindergarten through grade 12, with particular emphasis on:
• STEM teaching training and professional development.
• Middle and high school STEM programs.

While Fluor generally does not provide funding directly to school clubs or events, it does fund selected universities to support engineering programs, scholarships, and student association programs. Fluor considers requests for operating, program, capital, or endowment support. Priority is given to organizations that feature employee volunteer participation.

Letters of Inquiry (LOI) are necessary as an initial step to request funding. Specific details of what is required on the LOI are provided on the website. Up to two months should be allowed for a response. Letters of Inquiry should be addressed to local community relations’ contacts, which may be accessed at the website above.
