The Gale/Library Media Connection TEAMS Award

|Description:||The TEAMS Award is given to three schools for collaboration between teachers and library media specialists that promote student achievement and develop 21st century skills. The award is presented every two years and is open to all kindergarten through grade 12 public and private schools in the US and Canada. Each winning team will be selected based on evidence of collaboration between media specialists and teachers during the school year, support from school leadership, effective techniques that positively impact student learning and achievement, and ability for others to replicate this best practice.|
The full award criteria, directions for submission, and application form are available on the website. Note that required materials include a recommendation on school letterhead from the principal or assistant principal, a photograph of the collaborating team, and a one-minute video describing the project. Applications are accepted online or by mail. The winning teams will be honored at the following American Association of School Librarians conference.
