|Description:||Fund for Teachers (FFT) awards fellowships for self-designed professional learning experiences to prekindergarten through grade 12 teachers who recognize the value of inquiry, the power of knowledge, and their ability to make a difference. FFT grants are for an unlimited variety of projects all designed to create enhanced learning environments for teachers, their students, and their school communities. The fellowship application asks teachers to thoughtfully consider not only what objective they would like to pursue, but also why, and how they foresee the proposed experience making a difference for them as teachers, for their students, and for their school community.|
Eligible applicants are prekindergarten through grade 12 teachers who spend at least 50 percent of their workweek in direct instruction with students on a classroom or classroom-like setting. Teachers must intend to return to the classroom in the consecutive school year and have at least three years teaching experience. The Fund for Teachers fellowship application is available online each October with an application deadline in January, annually.
