|Description:||The AASL Innovative Reading Grant supports the planning and implementation of a unique and innovative program for children that motivates and encourages reading, especially with struggling readers. The AASL Innovative Reading Grant Committee will award the grant to a successful reading project that demonstrates the potential for reading improvement for kindergarten through grade 9 students. The program should promote the importance of reading and facilitate learnersí literacy development by supporting current reading research, practice, and policy. The programís potential for replication should also be apparent.|
