Description:World of Children Awards is an annual program that recognizes individuals whose charitable work has a life-changing impact on children. Candidates must be nominated for the award, and self-nominations are accepted. Honorees must serve children over and above their regular employment in positions for which they receive little or no pay.

Nominations are currently open for the following awards:
Humanitarian Award: open to adults making significant contributions to children through the social services, education, or humanitarian services.
Health Award: open to adults making significant contributions to children through the fields of health, medicine, or the sciences.
Youth Award: open to young people under age 21 making extraordinary contributions to the lives of other children.

Eligible adult candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in working with children in their current or similar position; youth candidates must have at least three years of experience. All nominees must be available to attend the award ceremony, if selected. (Travel costs are paid for award recipients.) Organizations cannot be nominated; however, nominees must have affiliation with a qualified nonprofit organization that can receive grant funds. Each candidate may be nominated for only one award. Previous World of Children Award winners are not eligible to be nominated again.

The nomination form is available to access from the website. Nominators must login to create an account and submit their nomination using the online system. World of Children expects nominators to inform their candidates and encourages participation of a nominee and related organization in preparing a nomination.
